These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Startup Gate platform (the "Platform"), owned and operated by Bridge Point, commercially known as Startup Gate ("Startup Gate", "we", "us", "our").
By registering, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Platform: The Startup Gate website, applications, and related services.
- User: Any individual or legal entity registered on the Platform.
- Founder / Startup: Individuals or entities seeking ecosystem support, services, programs, or funding.
- Service Provider: Any entity offering paid, discounted, or pilot services through the Platform.
- Enabler: Incubators, accelerators, programs, universities, NGOs, or ecosystem-support entities.
- Investor: Venture capital firms, angel investors, angel networks, funds, or funding institutions.
- Lead / Introduction: Any connection, inquiry, or interaction initiated through the Platform.
2. Nature of the Platform
- Startup Gate is a facilitator and connector.
- Startup Gate does not guarantee leads, deals, funding, revenue, or outcomes.
- Startup Gate does not act as an agent, broker, or legal representative for any party.
- Startup Gate is not a party to any agreement concluded between Users.
3. Account Registration & Verification
- Users must provide accurate, complete, and updated information.
- Startup Gate reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or request updates to any profile.
- Startup Gate may verify information manually or electronically.
- Providing misleading or false data is grounds for immediate suspension.
4. Platform Communications
All official communications may occur via:
- Platform notifications
- Email
- WhatsApp or phone (where applicable)
Users consent to receiving operational, transactional, and community communications.
5. Fees, Discounts & Commercial Terms
Startup Gate operates on a freemium and evolving monetization model. Certain services may be subject to:
- Commissions
- Subscriptions
- Visibility fees
- Promotional or pilot arrangements
Startup Gate reserves the right to introduce, amend, or remove pricing structures at any time. Specific commercial terms may be governed by separate agreements or role-specific sections within these Terms.
6. Prohibited Conduct (Applies to Everyone)
Users may not:
- Bypass the Platform to avoid commissions or tracking.
- Misuse data or contacts obtained via Startup Gate.
- Misrepresent affiliation with Startup Gate.
- Harm the reputation of the Platform or its community.
Violations may result in:
- Suspension
- Account termination
- Financial penalties (where applicable)
- Legal action under Egyptian law
7. Intellectual Property
Platform content, structure, branding, and data belong to Startup Gate.
Users retain ownership of their own content but grant Startup Gate a non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform.
8. Data Protection & Privacy
- Data is handled in accordance with Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
- Startup Gate implements reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
- Users consent to data processing necessary for platform operations.
9. Limitation of Liability
Startup Gate shall not be liable for:
- Failed deals or negotiations
- Financial loss, reputational damage, or missed opportunities
- Actions or omissions of Users
10. Suspension & Termination
Startup Gate may suspend or terminate accounts:
- Partially or fully
- Temporarily or permanently
- With or without prior notice (in cases of material breach)
11. Amendments
Startup Gate reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of Egyptian courts.
13. Expectations Disclaimer (Applies to Enablers & Investors)
The Platform does not create expectations of:
- Acceptance into programs
- Funding or investment
- Commercial relationships
- Ongoing engagement
All Users engage with the Platform at their own discretion and risk.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement governing Platform use and supersede any prior understandings, communications, or representations.
Role-Specific Terms
A. Service Providers Terms
Scope applies to: Legal, Accounting, Marketing, HR, Tech, Wellness, and any paid or discounted service.
Key Clauses
1. Discounts & Offers
Service Providers must honor agreed discounts or pilots listed on the Platform. Startup Gate is not responsible for service quality or delivery.
2. Lead Integrity & Anti-Circumvention
Any attempt to:
- Contact clients outside the Platform
- Avoid agreed commissions
- Re-contract off-platform
Will result in:
- Financial penalties
- Immediate suspension or termination
3. Monitoring & Reporting
- Startup Gate may track lead sources.
- Startup Gate may request confirmation of closed deals.
- Startup Gate may audit activity where abuse is suspected.
4. Account Closure
Accounts may be closed for:
- Breach of terms
- Repeated complaints
- Misuse of Platform access
- Reputational harm to the ecosystem
B. Enablers (Incubators, Accelerators, Programs)
Key Points:
- Listing does not imply endorsement.
- Programs must be accurately described.
- Startup Gate may promote programs but does not guarantee applicants.
- Startup Gate reserves the right to remove outdated or misleading programs.
- Startup Gate reserves the right to suspend enablers abusing visibility or access.
1. Program Availability & Changes
Programs listed on the Platform may be modified, postponed, suspended, or cancelled at the sole discretion of the Enablers. Startup Gate bears no responsibility for any such changes.
2. Selection & Acceptance
Admission decisions are made solely by the Enabler. Startup Gate does not influence, guarantee, or intervene in selection outcomes.
3. Program Outcomes Disclaimer
Startup Gate does not guarantee acceptance into programs, grants, funding or stipends, mentorship continuity, demo days, or follow-on support.
4. Non-Binding Communications
Any communication, announcement, or indication shared via the Platform shall be deemed non-binding, unless confirmed by the Enabler in a separate written agreement.
5. Enabler Liability Disclaimer
Startup Gate shall not be liable for any loss, cost, or damage arising from reliance on a program listing or communication.
C. Investors, VCs, Angel Networks & Funding Institutions
Key Points:
- Platform access does not guarantee deal flow.
- Startup Gate does not advise on investments or conduct financial due diligence.
- All funding decisions are independent.
Ethical Conduct
Investors must not:
- Misuse startups data
- Solicit fees from founders without disclosure
- Misrepresent investment intent
Violations may lead to permanent removal.
1. Introduction-Only Role
Startup Gate’s role is strictly limited to facilitating introductions and visibility. Startup Gate does not act as an investment advisor, broker, intermediary, or agent.
2. No Investment Commitment
Meetings, discussions, or expressions of interest do not constitute a commitment or obligation to invest.
3. Independent Evaluation & Due Diligence
All investment decisions are made independently by investors. Startup Gate does not conduct due diligence or validate deal terms.
4. Failed or Abandoned Deals
Startup Gate shall not be responsible for any investment discussion or transaction that is delayed, discontinued, or terminated for any reason.
5. No Reliance
Users acknowledge that they shall not rely on Platform interactions as a basis for financial or strategic decisions without independent verification.

Their respective privacy practices apply to their data use.
6. Cookies & Tracking

7. Data Retention
- User data retained while your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: anonymized within 30–90 days, fully deleted if not recoverable.

- Transactional/financial data retained up to 10 years for tax compliance.
8. Security Measures
